The Russian President has ordered the abduction tens of thousands of Ukrainian children. Some have been adopted by Russian families; some are held in camps scattered all over Russia. The idea is to make them Russian – or use them as leverage against their home country. A few mothers have managed to take their kids back from Putin, but most are unlikely to return anytime soon.
